Comfort Systems USA, Inc. announced that William George notified the company on October 16, 2026 of his intention to retire as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. His retirement will be effective following the filing of the company's Annual Report on Form 10-K for the year ending December 31, 2026, which is referred to as the Transition Date. The company stated that Mr. George's decision to retire was not the result of any disagreement with the company on any matter relating to the company's operations, policies or practices.

Julie Shaeff, currently the company's Senior Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer, has been appointed to succeed Mr. George as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, effective as of the Transition Date.

As of the date of the report, the Compensation Committee of the Board has not determined any changes to Ms. Shaeff's compensation in connection with her appointment. The company will file an amendment to the report within four business days after such determination is made.

According to the company's press release, Ms. Shaeff has served as the company's Chief Accounting Officer since May 2005 and was formerly Vice President and Corporate Controller from March 2002 to May 2005 and Assistant Corporate Controller from September 1999 to February 2002.
