Oil prices hit $100 a barrel on Wednesday after the war worsened between the U.S. and Iran amid a fresh round of strikes.

Brent crude’s November contract BRN00 BRNX26 briefly touched $100.18 a barrel before retreating slightly below the threshold to $99.95. It brings the international benchmark to its highest level since July 23.
