When you launch MT5 for the first time, an authorization window will appear where you need to enter your login, password, and select a server. If the window did not appear or was closed — no problem. You can connect manually: 1. In the upper-left corner, click “File”. 2. Select “Open an Account”. 3. Find the required server (Check the server name in your client area under “Accounts → Real Accounts”). 4. After selecting the server, a form will appear where you enter your trading data (login/password).

The “Invalid account” error means that MT5 cannot authorize your credentials. This usually occurs for one of the following reasons: 1. Incorrect login or password ● Login is your MT5 trading account number. ● Password is the trader password issued when opening an account. ● Check your details in your personal account under “Accounts → Real Accounts”. ● Note that the password is case-sensitive — uppercase and lowercase letters must match. It is recommended to copy the password from your personal account to avoid typos. 2. Incorrect server selected If the server is specified incorrectly, MT5 will not be able to connect even with the correct login and password. Check the server name in your private account under “Accounts → Real Accounts”, and make sure the same server is selected in MT5.
At the bottom panel of MT5, you will see the tabs: Trade, Exposure, History, News, Mailbox, Calendar, Company, Alerts, Articles, Library, Experts, Journal. To view all executed trades: 1. Go to the “History” tab. 2. Use a filter if needed. 3. This section displays all closed trades, balance operations, and account movements.
Not all available assets may be shown in the instruments list. To display the full list: 1. Open the “Market Watch” window (press Ctrl+M if it is hidden). 2. Right-click inside the window. 3. Select “Show All”. After this, all available trading instruments for your account will be displayed.
To open a position: 1. In the Market Watch window, find the desired instrument. 2. Right-click on it. 3. Select “New Order”. 4. A new order window will open where you must specify the order parameters. 5. Click on the corresponding button to place the order. After that, the order will appear in the “Trade” tab.
The “Not enough money” error appears when your account does not have sufficient free margin to open a new position. Please ensure that your account balance is enough to open a position with the selected volume. If necessary, reduce the order volume or deposit additional funds.
The “Market closed” error appears when you try to open a trade outside the trading session of the selected instrument. Each instrument (or group of instruments) has its own trading schedule, and you can trade it only during its active hours. To check trading hours: 1. Open the “Market Watch” window (press Ctrl+M if it is hidden). 2. Find the required instrument and right-click on it. 3. Select “Specification”. 4. A window will open showing the trading sessions schedule for that instrument. If the trading session is closed, MT5 will not allow you to open a trade until it reopens.
